About the Carteret Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Carteret has been dedicated to doing good in the world and our community since 1963. With dozens of past and present members, the Carteret Rotary Club is committed to improving the lives of others and building life long relationships among our community and members. Our members include some of the region’s most prominent business, professional, and civic leaders. We gather at weekly meetings and other functions to fulfill our commitment to the Rotarian ideals of friendship, fellowship, and service to others.

Our Purpose

The fundamental Rotary concept of “service above self” is integrated into our long-standing commitments to a wide range of issues from local community service to international humanitarian causes.

What do we do?

Locally, we are involved in programs to help youth, build stronger communities, and promote a sustainable environment.

Internationally, we are involved in projects on every continent.  We promote and support international student exchanges and business group exchanges.  We send teams abroad to help children with cleft lip and palate and other deformities, as well as children and adults with disabling eye problems.

Service to members: Our members benefit from the networking opportunities we offer to develop a stronger business and social community.  Through our business roundtable, Rotary Means Business, we give membersthe opportunity to share ideas and contacts.  Our weekly Tuesday luncheons bring in dynamic speakers who are making an impact in the community, the country and the world.

Of course, we also have a lot of fun activities including golf tournaments, skiing outings, cruises, informal mixers and more elaborate wine-maker dinners around the metropoliatn area.

Currently, the Rotary Club of Carteret is actively recruiting more members. More members equate to more service to the community and more contributions to the important funding work of the Rotary.
